Welcome to my brand new website. My name is Zachary Velykis. I am 34 years old and currently teach Elementary Education
at Y.A.L.E. School Southeast located in Voorhees New Jersey. Our school specializes in autism and all of the children
that are enrolled have been diagnosed with autism at some level. We have eight classrooms starting with two pre-school rooms,
followed by three inermediate rooms, followed by two primary rooms. Our last room is a pre-vocational room where the "big
kids" roam. My room is 206 and is the first primary room in the school. I currently have seven children in class, ages
7 to 11. (Sara, Hannah, Gina, Ryan, Patrick, Daniel and Jaron). I also have three wonderful teaching assistants who are a
vital part of my classroom's success. (Janice, Kim, Chris)
I do not consider what I do as "work." I tend to look at my job as a never ending challenge that gives me a tremendous
feeling of accomplishment along the way. I love what I do, it brings a smile to my face every day.

It seems like I have been going to college forever, but I am almost finished. I have an Associates degree in Marketing
& Management from Gloucester County College. I have a Bachelors degree in Business Tecnology & Communication from
Fairleigh Dickinson University. I am currently attending Holy Family University, about a year away from a Masters degree in
Education. When I finish my master's work, I will then begin the process of principal certification through Rutgers or Holy
Family. Then I AM DONE! NO MORE SCHOOL!

What's New?
The extended school year at Y.A.L.E. has begun. The dates are July 6th through August 26th.Our new school year
begins on September 7th with teacher in-service days. Teacher in-service days will be September 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th. The
first pupil day is September 13th.
